Meet The Council

The City Council is the legislative authority and sets the policies under which the City operates. Duties of the City Council include enacting legislation such as local laws and ordinances, approving City programs, adopting the City's budget, and appropriating the funds necessary to provice service to the City's residents, businesses and visitors. The City Council provides leadership through policy development regarding the current practices and future direction of the City.

Sharon Barovsky - Mayor

Sharon Barovsky was elected to the Council in June 2000 and re-elected in April 2002 and April 2006. Her term expires April 2010. She will serve as Mayor from November 2009 to April 2010.

Jefferson Wagner was elected April 2008; his term will expire in 2012

John Sibert - Councilmember

John Sibert was elected in April 2008; his term will expire in 2012.

Andy Stern - Councilmember

Andy Stern was elected in April 2002 and re-elected in April 2006. His term will run through April 2010. He served as Mayor from January 26, 2009 through November 2009.
